Everybody wants a revolution. They sure seem to, anyway.

Nike wants one. Apple wants one. Chick-fil-A even wants one.

Every two years, the party out of power wants one.

Sexuality always wants one. The body count on that one stands somewhere north of 41,000,000 (and counting) in America alone. And that’s just the death toll on one of multiple fronts, mind you. Talk about a revolutionary war with casualties…

Fashion, technology, cars, video games, music, literature, film…even politics, sex, spirituality, and religion. Perpetual revolution is the way of the world. Revolution for the sake of revolution. Change for the sake of change. Movement without purpose or direction based on the notion that it always beats standing firm.

Revolution is popular, and we love popular. So it is that we must love revolution.

It’s hip. It’s cool. It’s serious, too. And the way that the whole revolution concept manages to cover everything from the hip and trendy to the serious and profound tells us something about its inherent power, scope, and appeal as an idea.

Yeah, everybody wants a revolution, and they all want you to join in.

Any self-respecting revolutionary lives to recruit, and these days they are programmed to do just that on behalf of the perpetual revolution machine that is popular culture. There’s always a new style, sound, and feel to pitch, and producers of the pitch are counting on their properly programmed pawns to do the work of spreading the latest and greatest good news of the millisecond where the most recently culturally coronated cool game, band, diet, look, sound, or thought is concerned.

It’s all about networking, don’t ya know. Oddly enough, most of those doing the bidding of ”revolutionaries” like The Beatles, Sony, Hollywood, and Madison Avenue don’t know. They have no idea how, why, when, where, or even that they have been so thoroughly programmed. They simply hear, obey, and regurgitate. They are defined by the world and they live accordingly. They “just do it”.  And the “it” in question is: advertise.

They do it on their Facebook pages and Twitter feeds. They do it in their phone conversations and around the table when they bother to sit down and eat. They do it in the car with friends and at restaurants. They do this evangelical pop-culturist routine pretty much all the time. It’s who they are and what they’ve become, all by design.

You see, these pop-culture programmed little revolutionaries are inherently evangelical.

And, for a long time now, evangelicals have been very revolutionary. Only in a bad way.

The styles and modes of revolution practiced by most of evangelicalism in America over the past several decades have, for the most part, been expressions of open rebellion against biblical truth.

American Churchianity has been swept up, chewed up, and spit out by a secular culture that is very pleased with the resultant transformation of adversary into ally. The church has been conformed to the world she was commissioned to transform.

Where once we were known for Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield, we are now known for Joel Osteen and Rick Warren. Where once our society was led and shaped by those with a high view of God and His Word, we are now inspired by any of a million different leaders heading as fast as they can in their million different directions from truth.

We now live in a supposedly Christian nation utterly dominated by fundamentally anti-Christian characters and concepts. From Flu Shot Jesus and The Artists Formerly Known as The Emergent Church to “Best Life Now” Carnal Christianity and Purpose Driven Evangelicalism, American Churchianity has largely abandoned the truth of Scripture as its guiding light and has subsequently stumbled down every dark alley towards which she has been nudged by her enemy.

A Mr. Potato Jesus brand of name-it-and-claim-it, man-centered spirituality and religion on demand has taken hold.

Welcome to the Progressive cultural and religious revolution!

We’ve revolutionized education.

We’ve revolutionized sexuality.

We’ve revolutionized family.

And right about now we’re revolutionizing economics.

So we see that, for much of the time since the American Revolution, major revolutions in America haven’t gone very well from a biblical perspective. They’ve been, for the most part, vehicles for decline and darkness in a land that once cherished truth, understood the nature of true liberty, and exalted the one true God of biblical Christianity.

So is revolution always a bad thing, then?

Nope.

Not at all.

It’s just that, like almost anything wicked little fallen people get their hands on, we are very prone to mess it up.

The bad news is that we’ve managed to do just that, both with great intensity and over a long stretch of time. America has been radically changed, one individual at a time, from a God-fearing, Scripture-loving, magnificently blessed bright and shining light in a world of darkness, to a hollowed out husk on the verge of death by a thousand suicidal decisions born of a thousand suicidal delusions.

The good news is that Jesus is God.

And He saves.

He saves people. One at a time.

These people make up families, towns, cities, states, and nations.

These people make up movements, too.

They start revolutions.

And, make no mistake, this is precisely what is happening…right here…right now…

C.S. Lewis put it this way:

 

“Enemy-occupied territory – that’s what this world is. Christianity is the story of how the rightful king has landed and is calling us all to take part in a great campaign of sabotage.”

 

The call has gone out. The command has been given.

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

By the grace of God, I’ve been given what seems to be nothing short of a miraculous opportunity through the good folks at WorldNetDaily and WND Books. Anti-Americanism is the New Blackula

Whitey hates blacks.

Whitey hates women.

And Whitey definitely hates Mexicans. Even more than he hates kittens, smiles and sunshine.

He lives to use, abuse, plunder and murder at every turn. That’s just what Whitey does.

Man, I hate Whitey more with every keystroke…and I’m white!

Whitey hates so much that he won’t even allow socialized medicine, socialized housing, open borders with Mexico, the dismantling of the U.S. military, or the disarming of the legal American citizenry. Yeah, this Whitey dude is that bad.

Clearly Whitey and his oppressive, inhumane, imperialistic and intolerably cruel America both deserve to die. They must be stopped. They must be destroyed. Only with the America of old left burnt to the ground (figuratively or literally – either is fine) will we finally be able to realize the “fundamental change” needed to make the world right again. You know, like in all of those other fine socialist countries…Greece, for example.

But who will rise to this noble cause?

Who will crush the imperialists and liberate the oppressed working class?

Who will take what the “rich” (read: anyone working hard to earn more than $40K) have and “spread that wealth” equally?

Who will destroy the profit motive and bring down the capitalist system?

Barack can’t do it alone. Not that he isn’t tryin’. 

It’s just that more is needed. More hope. More “fundamental change”. More progress. The One needs a good number two to make it all happen. A colorful sidekick, if you will.

We need more organizing of communities for the purpose of destroying the United States. We must foment more rage amongst those who are being cheated by the suppression of socialism in America. And we can always use more destruction of the core values that made America the single greatest nation known in all of recorded human history. But this is simply too much progress for one – even the One – man to achieve.

Fortunately for Barry O and the Progressives, Amerika has its second savior in as many years:

Machete!

Welcome to Hollywood. Land of a million self-loathing American dreams and birthplace of the latest cool new “race war” fad.

And welcome to Machete!, the latest star-laden assault on everything that made these idiotic stars possible in the first place.

Machete was ”once a decent man”. Really. After all, you can obviously trust Hollywood to know what makes for a decent guy.

He was even “living a decent life”, just in case that first wave of “decent” didn’t do the trick.

But now…now…thanks to Whitey and his draconian crackdown on ridiculous things like “crime”, now Machete “is a brutal savage who must slaughter to stay alive”.

See what Whitey did? He made poor little innocent and decent Machete get all brutally savage and stuff… 

Bad, bad Whitey!

Whitey deserves Machete/machete, and he’s gonna get ‘em both! So bring on the righteous rage, mayhem, destruction and slaughter of Whitey’s America. There will be death. There will be mayhem. There will be Machete justice!

For Progressives, this is what qualifies as “the feel good hit of the summer”.

If we could just ship this Machete yahoo to Pandora, we might be on to something. I’d actually pay to see that Avatar sequel. But I digress…and I surely just got blacklisted for suggesting that anyone anything like Machete be “shipped off” to anywhere.

While the forces of tolerance and progress tarry and we have a moment before their planned storm of change, consider the following:

1. Legal immigration is beautiful!
2. Illegal anything is…*drumroll*… illegal. 
3. Every other nation has enforced border control.
4. Mexico has some of the most stringent border control standards on earth; many refer to them as “draconian”. Just ask any discontent Guatemalans with an eye toward their northern borders.
5. There is only one race in this discussion. It’s called “human”. Feel free to check into it if your Hollywood/Progressive indoctrination has you doubting that one.

Finally, if you should wonder how you might deal with a real-life Machete coming to your home to bring Progressive “justice” to you and your family, just remember: The second amendment is a beautiful thing.

Use it.

While you still can.

And you can even incorporate a little Hollywood into your Machete stopping routine if you like, as in, “Two in the chest. One in the head.” That’s from Collateral.

Little Fascists on Parade: Public School Praise and Worship, Obama Style

How do you inspire the Statist ”education” system to embrace a Christian hymn for use in its classrooms?

Easy: Swap out the name of Jesus in favor of Barack Hussein Obama.

It’s all about having the right messiah in place. Once we get that in order, everything’s just peachy.

According to a report posted at Fox News, children whose parents chose to send them to a New Jersey public school for state-controlled “education” were subsequently instructed in the praise and worship of Barack Hussein Obama.

And get this: The parents were surprised.

Many parents expressed something like shock at the notion that a pro-government, anti-Christian education system would seek to actively steal glory from Christ and lay it at the feet of the most pro-government, anti-Christian President in our nation’s history.

Lyrics for the hymns presented by the Obama Youth were as follows:

Yes, it is.

Is this surprising?

How could it possibly be so?

Every system of education takes a position on God, Christ and religion. There is no such thing as a neutral perspective: every worldview has a God or god. As Jesus has said, you are either for Him or against Him.

The public “education” system has chosen its messiah, and it sings his praises accordingly.

Change for America, Jackass Style – The Democrat Party’s War on Christianity

The chosen symbol of the American Democrat Party offers a compelling testimony both to God’s providential hand and His perfect sense of humor.

It also syncs well with a party broadly committed to legalized infanticide, the legitimization of homosexuality and open war upon the God-ordained institutions of marriage and family. From this launching point, little things like voter-fraud, child prostitution and state corruption of the arts for the purpose of pushing “progressive” propaganda seem like no-brainers. When you think like this jackass, the ends always justify the means.

Any means.

Webster’s Dictionary defines “jackass” as:

1. The male ass; a donkey.
2. A conceited dolt; a perverse blockhead.

The inclusion of most of these elements greatly aids in the presentation of a concise, accurate description of the contemporary American Democrat Party. While most descriptive components included in the above definitions – conceit, perversion and blockheadedness, for example – find confirmation upon examination of preferred Democrat character, not every term applies. It is important to make one noteworthy amendment. There is one term here that stands out as singularly problematic.

I am, of course, referring to the word “male”.

As manhood, male-ness, masculinity and all things manly tend to be fundamentally perverted, maligned and ridiculed by the forces most empowered and exalted by the Democrat Party, it would be a gross oversight to include the unqualified male descriptor in any right definition of the term jackass as it applies to this political party. There has to be a better way.

The substitutions of “androgynous” or “metro-sexual” stand out as appropriate alternatives, but would that be enough? Would either do the trick?

This whole redefinition of terms thing can be tough.

The American Democrat’s preferred approach to definition revision is much easier. Removing restrictive, clearly delineating details in favor of toothless, watery vagaries aimed at reducing a once clear standard or truth to something infinitely malleable so that it might be shaped to conform to any surrounding notion is hardly challenging. It’s a snap!

And it happens all the time, by design and with the intent to transform the clear into the cloudy, light into darkness and the truth into a lie.

When the typical nationally-prominent Democrat speaks of “family”, what does the word mean? When they mention “God”, to whom (or what) do they refer? When they talk about “values”…well…what sorts of values motivate the sanctification of infanticide and the legitimization of homosexuality? These words are employed as hollowed out husks of once meaningful terms, thrown about for the purpose of appeasing those with an attachment to the very real and clearly defined values that once shaped our culture.

Under cover of this rhetorical fog, the Democrat Party advances an agenda openly at odds with the God who ordained the family and defines the values of biblically submissive Christianity.

While some things will remain frustratingly cloudy, we may thank God that He has made every essential thing perfectly clear to those who submit to Him as Lord of their lives. To them He gives ears to hear and eyes to see. Along with these discernment-enabling attributes comes the responsibility to use them.

The identity of Barack Hussein Obama as merely the latest in a long line of openly contemptuous anti-Christians seeking to co-opt the terminology of evangelicalism so that it might be used to actively undermine the foundational principles of Christianity is not in doubt.

Similarly, the identity of the American Democrat Party as an overtly counter-Christian movement is no longer a matter of dispute to the biblically literate, critically thinking mind. The veil has long been lifted. What in the past may have been covert for the sake of political expedience in a once-Christian nation has long since become overt as an ongoing formal declaration of war on biblical Christianity unfolds before our eyes. This Christ-hating, gospel-trampling crusade has been underway for decades and has now advanced to the point that it seems as though with each passing moment another bit of its agenda is formally codified in our land.  

From matters of sexuality, finance and diplomacy to the very definition of family and the sanctity of life itself, the American Democrat Party has become a tool. With unmatched boldness and pride it zealously applies its murderous narcissism to the transformation of our nation. One thought, one word and one vote at a time, each individual member of this God-hating, corrupt body has played a unique role in the decline of the United States of America. Each cause advocated and every vote cast in favor of a movement utterly dedicated to the suppression and eventual elimination of the truth as embodied by Christ and contained in His Holy Word is a step taken on behalf of the enemy of God.

All of the aforementioned horrors have sprung from a shared source: Flight from Jesus Christ as the clear, shining, unshakable source and goal of all that is good. When we abandon Him as our standard in all things, we can succumb to the temptation to sequester politics from Christ’s rule in our lives. If we allow this, we become Lucifer’s political tools.

Our thoughts then become his thoughts, our actions become his actions and our causes become his causes. Our votes become his votes.

That we would take the most precious and historically unique gift that is the right to self-determination through the casting of a ballot – a gift so lovingly provided by our gracious Lord through the establishment of a blessed nation founded upon the clear principles of His perfect Word – and use that divinely inspired instrument to openly support rebellion against Him is an evil only thinkable by a depraved mind.

With each gain made by the “progressive” agenda in America, the cosmic battle between good and evil takes a turn for the worse.

So what’s a biblically submissive Christian to do in this hopey, changey nightmare of a situation?

First, we must pray.

Pray for the nation and culture, that God may deliver us from the path charted by the Statists currently at the nation’s helm. We must also pray for those in this counter-Christian movement, so that they might be delivered from the darkness that once dominated the mind, body and soul of each and every one of us. We were once as they are now. The same God who delivered us can deliver anyone, and we must pray for His intervention in each of our opponent’s lives on an individual basis.

Prayer for our own conduct is also essential. While we must do difficult things, engage the enemy in challenging situations and speak boldly to a culture at war with our Lord, we must pray for protection from the urge to do so in a hypocritical or self-glorifying manner. Those opposed to biblical Christianity will always categorize any voiced criticism as hypocritical and/or self-glorifying on our part in an effort to suppress any expression of truth, but we cannot allow this to result in our silence. We must stand firm and act boldly, but only in a manner glorifying to God. Maintaining this balance is only possible through growing and strengthening our personal relationship with the Lord through prayer.

This prayer must be accompanied by constant study and contemplation of God’s perfect Word. Therein is our perfect fuel for fighting the battles we are called to engage. With God’s Word etched in our heart and our relationship with Him constantly strengthened through consistent prayer, we are equipped to engage the enemy.

We can then dismantle the organizations that would perpetuate voter fraud and child-prostitution. We can then stand against the forces advocating the ever “progressing” power of the state over the liberty of men. We can then topple the philosophies that embrace homosexuality and the intentional targeting of innocent children for murder.

We can repel the “change” advocated by the cult of Obama.

We can break the party of the jackass.

We can do all of these things, but only if we submit to Christ as Lord over all and act accordingly.

Everybody Expects…the Liberal Inquisition! (Part 2)

On April 29^th, 2004, Canada’s governor general signed into law a measure that criminalized public expression in opposition to homosexual behavior, officially categorizing some orthodox Christian beliefs, when verbalized publically, as “hate speech”.

Welcome to the hopey, changey world of tolerance and inclusiveness, Perez Hilton style.

Dr. Albert Mohler Jr. addressed this seismic legal and cultural shift in an opinion piece titled The End of Religious Liberty in Canada:

“It’s all over but the funeral. Free speech and religious liberty are now effectively dead in Canada, and recent developments across our northern border should awaken Americans to the peril of political correctness and its restrictions on freedom.

On April 28, the Canadian Senate passed bill C-250 by a vote of 59 to 11. In passing this legislation, the Canadian Parliament added “sexual orientation” to the nation’s laws criminalizing “hate speech.” The end result is that the Bible may now be considered a form of criminalized hate literature and Christians who teach that homosexuality is sinful may face criminal charges.”

This reality is worthy of our pause and careful consideration. The categorization of biblical content as hate speech deserving of punishment constitutes state-sponsored persecution of Christians. This is what Canada has become. This is what America is becoming.

Dr. Mohler concluded his warning to Christendom with the following:

“The pattern of criminalizing speech about homosexuals is spreading across liberal societies. In Sweden, pastors are explicitly warned that any sermons critical of homosexuality can lead to criminal charges. The same logic is spreading through the courts and legislatures of many European countries–and now has jumped the Atlantic to Canada.

The truly threatening character of the Canadian legislation is further demonstrated in the fact that police do not have to charge persons with breaking a law. Any Canadian citizen can file a complaint against any other citizen, resulting in charges. At that point, the defendant is simply left to the dangerous whims of the liberal judiciary and governmental human rights commissions. The potential legal costs would alone intimidate some persons from talking about homosexuality.

The most important part of the newly-revised criminal code reads: “Every one who, by communicating statements, other than in private conversation, willfully promotes hatred against any identifiable group is guilty of . . . an indictable offense and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years.”

During a recent debate, the Canadian attorney general refused to comment on whether or not the Bible is, in itself, hate speech. That matter, we are now warned, will be left for the courts to determine.

We are fooling ourselves if we believe this threat to religious liberty will stay on the Canadian side of the border. This same logic is already accepted by many law professors and judges in the United States. The passage of C-250 is a warning to us all. When free speech is denied and the preachers are told what they can and cannot say, religious liberty is effectively dead.”

Man has spoken. The spirit of the “progressive” left has spoken. The Canadian thought police have spoken: God’s perfect Word on homosexuality is evil and its public proclamation can therefore result in punishment by law.

Liberal fascism is on the march on both sides of the US/Canadian border. The Liberal Inquisition is hardly confined by national boundaries. It is a global ideology simultaneously consumed and fueled by its overt hatred of truth and its author. The thought police are on a mission. As they march forward, they aim for nothing less than the total subjugation of our nation to their politically correct code…one suppressed individual at a time.

So as we wonder what the American branch of the Liberal Inquisition might have in mind for us, we need only look north.

Everybody Expects…the Liberal Inquisition!

“Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!”

This was the launch phrase for my favorite recurring skit on Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

In most of its appearances, The Inquisition would intrude suddenly on unrelated sketches in which one character, expressing frustration with another, would announce “I didn’t expect the Spanish Inquisition!” Right on cue, the Inquisition would burst onto the scene as its leader proclaimed, “Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!” This bold entry-line would be followed by other beauts, including, “Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms!”

Over the past two weeks, I’ve been thinking about this Spanish Inquisition a whole lot.

Van Jones…Jimmy Carter…nine out of ten so-called “journalists” within the mainstream media…whether it’s gun-control, taxes, Obamacare or ACORN, the one thing we all know by now is that anyone who opposes the “progressive” liberal agenda is, underneath it all and way deep down inside, a racist.

*yawn*

At this point, everybody expects the Liberal Inquisition. Before one can even finish the thought preceding any pronouncement critical of anything “progressive”, they must resign themselves to the knowledge that, should they actually let their politically incorrect words fly, they will be branded.

The Scarlet R will be upon them.

Right now, literally tens of millions of “racists” in America are getting more than a little angry with the whole thing, and rightfully so. But what happens when this “progressive” enthusiasim for the race card is combined with the well-established liberal hatred of orthodox Christianity?

Just ask Sarah Palin.

“..even apart from its political implications, the rollout of the Sarah Palin vice presidential candidacy may be regarded decades from now as a nationally shared Rorschach test of enormous cultural significance.”

This was Jeffrey Bell’s observation as recorded in The Weekly Standard just seventeen days after Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was selected to become Senator John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 presidential campaign. He went on to describe what was rapidly becoming a perfect storm of political paranoia:

“From the instant of Palin’s designation on Friday, August 29, the American left went into a collective mass seizure from which it shows no sign of emerging. The left blogosphere and elite media have, for the moment, joined forces and become indistinguishable from each other, and from the supermarket tabloids, in their desire to find and use anything that will criminalize and/or humiliate Palin and her family…

“In her acceptance speech last Wednesday night, anyone could see the poise and skill that undoubtedly attracted McCain’s attention months ago, when few others were even aware that he was looking. But it was precisely the venom of the left’s assault that heightened the drama and made it a riveting television event. Palin benefited from her ability to project full awareness of the volume and relentlessness of the attacks without showing a scintilla of resentment or self-pity.

This is a rare talent, one shared by Franklin D. Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan. For this quality to have even a chance to develop, there must be something real to serve as an emotional backdrop: disproportionate, crazy-seeming rage by one’s political enemies. Roosevelt was on his party’s national ticket five times and Reagan sought the presidency four times. Each became governor of what at the time was the nation’s most populous state. It took Roosevelt and Reagan decades of national prominence and pitched ideological combat to achieve the gift of enemies like these. Yet the American left awarded Sarah Palin this gift seemingly within a microsecond of her appearance on the national stage in Dayton, Ohio. Why?”

For the American left, reasons for fear and loathing of Sarah Palin are legion; almost too numerous to list. But we’ll try anyway:

She is a woman (which would normally be a plus). She is a fiscal conservative (which offsets much of the aforementioned benefit of being female). She is a social conservative (this more than finishes off any remaining ‘female benefit’). She comes from humble roots and embraces a classically Judeo-Christian ethic. She is a generally happy wife and mother of five. Making matters worse on the last point, the youngest of her children, Trig, was prenatally diagnosed with Down syndrome. The problem for the secular left wasn’t the diagnosis itself; it was that Mrs. Palin had subsequently allowed her son to live.

For this crime she could not be forgiven.

Little Trig became something of an unintended lightning rod as a result. The sweet little boy born to a loving, honorable Christian mother presented to the American left a clear and present threat to the very heart of its liberal orthodoxy…by simply living.

With their foundations shaken and insecurities exposed, ‘progressive’ women lashed out, leading the charge in a wild attempt to eviscerate Sarah Palin. Their seething hatred was proudly and forcefully displayed at every opportunity.

South Carolina Democrat Party chairwoman Carol Fowler pronounced that John McCain had chosen a running mate “whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”  The Washington Post’s Wendy Doniger observed that Palin’s “greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman.” ‘Comedian’ Margaret Cho joined the crowd of merry, blissfully content feminists by chiming in with:

“They shouldn’t have the right to call themselves Christian, for they have no Christ-like attributes. I am a feminist and a Christian, and when I see Sarah Palin, I see neither. And it’s official: She is evil.”

Through this parade of insult and vilification, our nation was exposed to the full force and character of secular liberal womanhood. And it wasn’t pretty. Then again, secular feminism rarely is or wants to be.

Eight months after Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech at the Republican Party National Convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, Americans were given another revealing glimpse into the philosophy shaping our nation’s culture.

This moment came when a young woman from the American West committed the unpardonable sin of politically incorrect public speech. This violation of the new American speech code inspired the unrestrained wrath of vigilant thought police across the nation. The whole episode began on April 19^th of 2009, when the following question echoed through the Theatre for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada:

“Vermont recently became the first state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?”

This was the question asked of Carrie Prejean, representing the state of California in the Miss USA pageant. The question was asked by openly gay pageant judge Perez Hilton as a part of the Miss USA selection process.

Miss Prejean answered Hilton’s politically and religiously motivated question as follows:

“I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And, you know what? In my country and in my family, I think that – I believe that – a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think that it should be: Between a man and a woman. Thank you.”

While for many of us it may be difficult to imagine a more respectful, defensive, kind and even sheepish defense of the actual institution of marriage than that which Miss Prejean offered, the simple fact that she affirmed a personal belief, when asked, that marriage was to be “between a man and a woman”, was enough for impartial, unbiased, politically and religiously neutral judge Perez Hilton to come completely unglued.

As a result of honestly answering the question put to her in an excruciatingly polite manner consistent with the well-reasoned and time-tested beliefs of the overwhelming majority of American citizens since the founding of the nation, Carrie Prejean was denied the Miss USA crown and Perez Hilton went into full blown offended drama queen mode.

Hilton immediately recorded a video blog for release on YouTube, which included the following fabulous commentary:

“Hello…okay…so…Miss USA literally just finished and I have to make a video blog. Everybody’s gonna be talking about it! I was the YouTube moment of the show – the pageant – when I asked Miss California her question, and when she gave the…worst…answer…in pageant history! She got booed! I think that was the first time in Miss USA e-ver that a contestant has been booed. Now, lemme explain to you: She lost, not because she doesn’t believe in gay marriage. Miss California lost because she’s a dumb bitch, okay? This is how a person with half a brain answers the question I posed to her, which is: ‘Vermont recently legalized same-sex marriages. Do you think other states should follow suit? Why or why not?’ Well, if I was Miss California, with half a brain, I would have said, ‘hmm…Perez, that’s a great question! That’s a very hot topic in our country right now, and I think that that is a question that each state should decide for themselves, because that’s how our forefathers designed our government, you know. The states rule themselves, and then there’s certain laws which are federal.’ She could have said something along those lines, but she didn’t! She gave an awful, awful answer which alienated so many people, and Miss California – Miss USA – she doesn’t alienate, she unites! She inspires! I am so disappointed in Miss California representing my country, not because she doesn’t believe in gay marriage, but because she doesn’t inspire and she doesn’t unite! And that is what a Miss California and a Miss USA should. And I could not believe when she became first runner up! If that girl would have won Miss USA – California – I would have gone up on stage – I shit you not – I would have gone up on stage, snatched that tiara off her head and run out the door. And then I probably would have been arrested, but you know what? So be it! Ooooh! Thank goodness Miss South Carolina won – or North Carolina – whichever one won, because she deserved it so much more! Okay…I need a cocktail now.”

In a subsequent appearance on NBC’s Today Show, the lovely and gracious Mr. Hilton went on to further elaborate on his open-minded, inclusive philosophy of kindness and tolerance: “I personally would have appreciated it, had she left her politics and her religion out, because Miss USA represents all Americans. I think I gave her the easy way out. She could have answered that question so many different ways. She could have said, ‘Well, I wanna leave my politics out of the question and I think that it’s important for the states to make those decisions for themselves, and I think that would have been a better answer than the one that she gave, because the answer she gave alienated myself, millions of gays and lesbians, their friends, their family, their coworkers, and their supporters. And Miss USA is not a person that’s alienating. Miss USA is not a person that’s politically incorrect! Miss USA is someone who represents me, who represents all America and is inclusive.”

After pausing for a moment of intermission to digest those bits of brilliance and purge any thoughts of Perez Hilton as Miss California from our temporarily scarred minds, we are well served to consider a question of our own:

Throughout this incident and the firestorm of controversy that followed, Carrie Prejean’s position was painted as suspiciously defensive in most Statist media presentations, while the Perez Hilton position was generally treated as normative and therefore worthy of less scrutiny or criticism than Miss Prejean’s. Why is this so?

The answer to this question as well as many related issues swirling about the perpetual conspiracy to assassinate Sarah Palin are found in the very nature and identity of the counter-Christian culture in which we live. In an America teetering on the brink of a shift from post-Christian to anti-Christian state, the Secular Inquisition has begun.

While Carrie Prejean’s tepid, defensive, limp-wristed (and she didn’t even get points for that), ever-so polite response to Perez Hilton’s question did indeed cost her the title of Miss USA, it also managed to reap a wealth of useful information.  However flamboyant a representative of contemporary American leftism Mr. Hilton may be, his views are largely representative of the hyper-relativistic brand of secular humanism that currently dictates the course and rate of decline for our culture. Sadly, Hilton’s is the favored position, at least from the perspective of the secular forces driving our nation. This makes the Prejean/Hilton exchange worthy of further consideration.

I’d like to begin this examination by offering a list of post-Christian American truths made plain through Perez Hilton’s response to Carrie Prejean:

1. Biblically submissive Christians cannot represent America. “All of America” includes ridiculous living caricatures of homosexuality; it does not include biblically submissive Christians.
2. Biblically submissive Christians can be excluded in the name of inclusiveness. Put another way, alienating Christians is perfectly acceptable for the simple reason that they are perceived to alienate others.
3. Political expression is reserved exclusively for those expressing politically correct views.
4. Religious expressions, if they must be made at all, are allowed only insofar as they conform completely to anti-Christian standards, thus rendering the Christian silent.
5. Political and religious questions, when asked of a Christian by an anti-Christian, cannot be answered honestly or accurately, as the Christian response must universally conform to anti-Christian standards and is therefore impossible. In this light, anti-Christians really do not ask Christians questions at all – they merely use a question format to inform the Christian of truth from and anti-Christian perspective. It’s kind of like a satanic twist on Jeopardy!
6. So complete is the subjugation of the liberal lemming’s mind that they are literally incapable of noticing their own flagrantly religious and political expressions as anything but the completely benign norm for all of humanity. They literally do not realize that their opinion is an opinion. As William F. Buckley, Jr. put it, “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.”
7. Expressing an anti-Christian opinion in the promotion of tolerance, acceptance and unity is a natural and good thing, while expressing a Christian opinion on the same matter is almost always an open violation of goodness and decency at every level.
8. Perez and Paris Hilton are of roughly equal value to western civilization.

There are many more useful points that could be listed, to be sure, but the true nature of the new American thought police is revealed clearly enough by these alone. In a nutshell: Bible believing Christians are, by definition, wrong and must be silent. This is the guiding principle of the Secular Inquisition.

This movement has been underway in America for some time now. It continues to gather steam, having moved beyond its base of Statist media support and into the deeper fabric of the culture, primarily through the public education system. Its goal is, for now, the silence and suppression of Christian thought. As such, every Common Believer is a threat and legitimate target of the Secular Inquisition.

 Any public expression of distinctly Christian thought must be met. It must be countered. It must be crushed.

And soon, it must be banned.

There are those who would say that the above contention paints an overdramatic picture, that the author here is presenting a skewed take on reality for the sake of promoting alarm and implying the existence of an evil conspiracy against liberty where in reality there is no such thing to be found. To these critics we need only reply with a simple point north…to Canada, where the Liberal Inquisition has been at work for just a little bit longer…

Prostitution: Do it for the Children. (An ACORN Public Service Announcement)

The ACORN wars have gone guerilla on the right side (they’ve been operating that way on the left from the start). Earlier today, BigGovernment.com posted two shots of these lovely little painted ACORN PSAs as they were found in the Los Angeles area.

With the recent outbreak of “ACORN Funded Prostitution Zone” signs popping up in, on and around L.A., it looks like area residents will be treated to some visual reminders of the sorts of activities promoted by ACORN not just in their home town, but from coast to coast all across the nation.

Perhaps if one of these could be placed near ABC News HQ so that Charlie Gibson might get a glimpse, he might finally begin to ask a question or two.

Then again, maybe not.

Okay, probably not.

It should be noted that the signs inaccurately reflect the nature of ACORN’s actual prostitution problem in that they do not mention that the organization is now well known for its promotion of child prostitution.

It’s hard to imagine the garden variety leftist voter caring much about garden variety prostitution these days, at least not beyond the fact that most of ‘em would be all for its legalization. But child prostitution, well, we’ll see…

The jury is still out on that one. So far, there are a whole lot of ACORN defenders clinging to hope, change and the eternally valid race card.

So while we wait to see if leftists will ever turn on ACORN en mass over its widespread support for child prostitution, let’s just kick back and enjoy the view.

After all, never before has a PSA been this useful.

Another Reason Al Gore Regrets Inventing the Internet

It’s hard to believe that just over seven days ago, BigGovernment.com, the website that broke the ACORN story, didn’t even exist.

In just that week’s time, the ongoing saga of corruption, child-prostitution and Charlie Gibson’s blissful ignorance has produced remarkable results and awakened many Americans to the sad realities defining mainstream media coverage and contemporary “progressive” political activism. This week’s display of good old fashioned American journalism has simultaneously cracked the ACORN nut and exposed much of the beltway’s “media elite” as little more than wholly owned tools the American Left.

As if things weren’t bad enough for Barack Hussein Obama already. With public opinion on his Obamacare proposal plummeting and a popular uprising against his radically socialistic policy proposals building, the last thing The One needed was the complete exposure of his cherished ACORN by way of a brand spanking new website.

Thanks, Al!

The political disaster that had been the campaign for Obamacare was bad enough, what with Obama advocates resorting to eating Obamacare opponents and all. Before pro-Obama zealots could even “flesh out” their defense of such actions and mix in a healthy dose of referring to all Obamacare critics as racists, along came  the whole ACORN thing, blowing up all over the Internet via BigGovernment.com.

Nice job, Al!

So now we have the near total destruction of a long-active, wildly well-funded (on the taxpayers’ dime, of course), Democrat-cherished voter-fraud machine in just days’ time. Story after story emerges…video after video is released…and the theme is pervasive, powerful and politically potent: ACORN is, has been and was designed to be a force for corruption in the United States. Who would have thought that voter fraud would end up seeming like such a tiny, insignificant little problem in the grand scheme of things?

Advocating child prostitution has a way of putting things like that in proper perspective, it seems.

Who could have known that an organization that most knew to be on the rotten side of the system was, in reality, top-drawer, off-the-charts EVIL to and through its blackened core?  (No, Charlie Rangel, I don’t mean “blackened core” the way that you will suggest I mean “blackened core“).

And who could have ever guessed that the simple addition of a dot com to its end, Big Government could become such a beautiful thing?

Way to go, Al!

Crushed Nuts: How ACORN Got Trampled by the “Racist” Stampede

It’s enough to make Al Gore wish he’d never invented the Internet.

Earlier today, BigGovernment.com broke the story that ACORN had suspended operations. This after the same just-launched website broke story after story exposing the top-to-bottom, coast-to-coast corruption of the organization.

Tales of ACORN’s widespread support for scores of the most vile sorts of illegal activities burned up the media wires, not that ABC “News” anchor Charlie Gibson or The New York Times noticed. Apparently ACORN’s rampant support for child-prostitution just didn’t meet the threshold for newsworthiness to those folks.

But that didn’t matter. The Statist-dominated mainstream media matters less and less with each passing day. Doubly so on the days when good ol’ fashioned American journalists emerge in the form of BigGovernmen.com’s James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles.

No, the mainstream media’s ignoring of the problem didn’t make it go away.

Not this time.

Remember the good ol’ days when ACORN was known simply as a highly efficient voter fraud machine?

Well, those days are over, and ACORN itself may be finished as well.

We can only hope.

As the battle raged over the past week and the situation worsened for the leftists under siege, the one and only tried and true defense left was deployed early and often: “Y’all are a buncha racists!”

In the best sign yet that America has hope, even this didn’t work. The ACORN steamrolling story broken by O’Keefe and Giles just rolled on and on, finally crushing the pro-child rape profiteering bastion of “progressive” open-mindedness.

The nut, and the nuts, have been crushed.

Expect a backlash, of course…after all, this has all only happened because America is a nation filled with racists.

The Day the Left Stood Still

In the morning hours of September 11th, 2001, America changed.

For many of the nation’s people, the change was permanent. It was forever. For others, those of the perpetual “move on” mantra, the transformative events of that day were to be forgotten as quickly as possible.

They posed a unique sort of political problem that simply had to be overcome if their agenda was to be advanced.

As we mourn and remember on this anniversary of that tragic moment in America’s past, let us pray to the God whose perfect Word inspired the foundation of this, the greatest nation in human history. Let us pray to Him for guidance. Let us pray to Him for mercy. Let us thank Him for His grace.

And let us pray that we never forget.

May the God who raised American civilization to heights of success not previously known in all of His creation now empower and embolden His people to remember…and to fight.
